Hermana Huey is great! I see a bit more and more each day why we are companions. There is so much that we can learn from each other. Our strengths and weaknesses balance each other out. I'm grateful for these last five weeks and I'm excited for week six and all the learning and miracles it's going to bring.
My testimony this week is of love. I have been reading a bit in the New Testament this week, in Corinthians. Paul is an amazing missionary, obviously. And one thing that has really stood out to me this week is the limitless love he has for his recent converts. Essentially the epistles he writes are letters of encouragement to his recent converts. I have no doubt that those people KNEW that Paul loved them. His affection was evident and because of his love, he was able to also correct them and teach them hard things. Paul is also a great example of applying and understanding grace. Grace is the evidence of Christ's love for us. I am so grateful for it. In 1 Corinthians 15:10, Paul says, "By the grace of God, I am what I am..." I love that! I was reflecting on my mission and the things I have learned in each area and from each person, and I know that through these people and experiences, God has molded me to be what I am. I have yet to be molded into exactly what the Lord wants, I still have some hard spots that need smoothing out, but I am grateful that I am what I am through the grace of God. I hope one day to say with perfect confidence, "be ye imitators (or followers) of me, even as I also am of Christ."
Have a good week!
