Funny story from last week first though. Last week we were supposed to have dinner with an investigator family, but when we showed up, only the brother, Manuel, and a friend, Ivan, were there (they are like 40 and 35 years old). They didn't really know what to do because Miguel and Filomena weren't there, but Ivan had some oysters that he had gotten from the harbor earlier that day. So we ended up going into the back yard and eating raw oysters drenched in lemon and tapatio (chile sauce). EWWW!! It was good in a gross way. Better than the Pizza Rolls someone else fed us. Anyway, they both speak Spanish, but Ivan preferred to talk to us in English, even though Manuel couldn't understand. We pulled out Book of Mormons (or is it Books of Mormon...I still don't know...) ANYWAY. We kept trying to talk about the Book of Mormon and Ivan just kept talking about how

Wow, yet another crazy week. How do I even summarize everything??
Hermana Taylor was sick this Tuesday, and luckily for her health but not the work, all of our appointments fell through. Luckily she's feeling better than she did then, but is still having some funny stomach issues. We're getting medicine at the store today, so hopefully it'll make it better. She's been so good to stick it out and be strong and have a positive attitude with everything. Even when we ate oysters soaked in lemon juice and tapitio. Well, it has been a great week. I think I'm starting to get the hang of this mission thing. At least a little.
I need to find a better way of remembering everything that happens in a week. Wow. So, so much. Honestly though. Where do I even begin? We've dont a lot of service for Chazahla this week, which has been good. It's neat to see how the more you serve someone, the more you love them. Even though sometimes it doesn't look like we've made a difference in helping her move stuff and pack and clean, it's really cool how much she appreciates it. We also taught a woman named Lily. She's one of our Spanish investigators. She has so much faith and is so humble. She's probably around 50 or 60 and she just wants to do God's will. Sometimes she gets stuck on little I made it to Cali! Things are real real real real now. We are at our transfer meeting today where I will get my next companion and be assigned to an area. Last night I stayed with President and Sister Jones, the stake president for Sarah Pace. They were so kind and fed us healthy, yummy muffins and fresh fruit this morning. I am so excited to go grocery shopping and pick my own food. I WANT A GRAPEFRUIT! And spinach. President and Sister Castro are so great and I can tell that they have made a huge impact on this mission--both the members and the missionaries. People are excited to hear that I have met President Felix and are excited for his arrival on Friday.
