Being a missionary is the best.
You do lots of random things.
Like getting buffalo meat from a 57 year old man.
Taking out trash.
Watching Legacy at least once a week.
Having embarrassing and/or awkward moments daily.
Being a missionary is the best because you see a light enter people.
You change lives.
You tell people the worth of their soul.
You invite to baptism.
You invite to Christ.
You help people make covenants with God.
You help them know that they are children of God.
You represent Jesus Christ.
I like being a missionary :)
We also visited a less active member, Sister Barta, at her fabric shop this week. We timed it perfectly and there were no customers when we got there. We were able to chat and then talk about one of our favorite scriptures of the week, 2 Nephi 1:15, and what it feels like to receive an "eternal hug" from Jesus. She got emotional and hinted that she is scared to come back to church. I'm excited to get her there soon!
On Friday after we finished planning, we decided that we wanted to spend more time walking instead of driving from house to house. So we walked to the house of the first person we had planned for. We met a lot of really neat people on the way. My favorite was Juan. He is currently on disability because he fell while working and hurt his back and hand, which means he and his family are home all the time for us to teach! He said he doesn't attend church, but wants to. We gave him a Book of Mormon and set an appointment for next week.
Well. Being a missionary is awesome. I especially like it this week because I don't have to start school :)
Have a good week!
