All week we were trying to decide what was going to happen with transfers tomorrow. Hermana Taylor and I decided we were both going to stay since we had white washed. Also because, although we have had a good companionship, it wasn't really until Friday that we sort of "perfected" it. And then what happened? Sunday night we got "the text" that led to "the call" from the mission president. Hermana Taylor has been called to be a sister training leader! And now we are being separated. God must have a little bit of a sense of humor cause now that things are "perfected," we are separated! Haha, but I'm excited for Hermana Taylor to be a sister training leader. I know that she will be awesome! She is such an example of obedience and love and I have learned so much from her and loved it! I am excited to work with Hermana Eastman and have heard great things about her, as well.
Things are going week up here in Arroyo Grande. We had a super fun FHE on Monday night with an investigator
One of our miracles this week was a 13 year old girl named Megara. We were walking past her apartment this week after a lesson and Hermana Taylor paused and said we should go knock her door. You never know what you are going to get when a door opens, and a 13 year old girl was definitely not what I was expecting with this one. There were lots of kid toys and bikes all over outside the door, so I was expecting something more like a frantic, young mom. When she opened we were surprised, but I immediately felt really good about her. She is really special. We talked to her about God's love and how she can feel more of it as she reads the Book of Mormon. We gave her a Book of Mormon with my little sister's testimony written in it and set up another appointment. When we got to the car, Hermana Taylor and I both felt like a specific beehive in the ward would be a perfect fellowshipper. When we went back on Thursday, we brought 12 year old Jenessa and she was amazing! She more such simple and sweet testimony of the Restoration and the Book of Mormon and prayer and looked right at Megara the whole time. I am so excited to see where things go with her. She's awesome!
It's been an awesome week and I'm excited to see what this next transfer brings with Hermana Eastman here in Arroyo Grande!
Have a good week!
