So much is changing this week, no? I can't believe how much has happened in the last few weeks! It's fine. I guess it's inevitable.
So, what happened this week?
Let me tell you.
Monday we said goodbye to everyone.
Tuesday I got a new companion and we said hello to everyone.
Wednesday, we had a fun lesson reading the Book of Mormon with a less active member. She's like mostly active, but not totally, lots of excuses come up. But she's awesome. She lights up so much whenever we read in the Book of Mormon and this week she shared a tender experience about how when she was little living in
Thursday we had a short lesson with Abagail, I love her! We answered her questions about life after death and assigned her a chapter to read. We texted her later that night to see how she liked it and she loved it! She read about "works" and how we will be judged according to our works. In her mind she associated works with our specific and unique purpose, so we will be judged according to how well we lived up to our purpose. We sent her my favorite quote by Marianne Williamson and she loved it and said it was totally an answer to her prayers.
Friday we had a long, long, long, session of weekly planning. My companion is a tiny bit not super proactive, but it's okay. I'm going to show her how awesome it is to work really hard. She's also really focused on her weaknesses, but I'm going to help her realize her strengths.
Saturday I learned not to be weary in well-doing. Whether that means patience, giving investigators to other missionaries, or just visiting and leaving notes for people. Numbers aren't everything. We also met a cool woman named Carina, she's deaf! And GOLDEN! So I'm excited to teach her! She has 4 kids and wants them to listen, too.
Sunday everyone asked us to teach their less active kids. It was neat. I feel like members are really trusting me now that I've been here longer, it's neat.
Time's up!
Bye!
LOVE YOU!
