Hello Everyone!
TRANSFER NEWS: I am leaving! As is my sweet companion! I am going to be serving in Morro Bay follow up training a new missionary!
So..Paso Robles.. I am so excited that Elders are going to be coming to this area! I think that it is going to be a great change! We have investigators who are going to do great with the elders. We have talked for a large part of the transfer about how cool it would be if we could be whitewashed out and elders brought in. Another prayer answered. Miracles are going to happen! I am grateful for the opportunity that you gave me to work in this area. I feel like it was a growing place for me. I learned a lot of patience here with Hermana Justiniano. I learned how to trust the Lord more fully. I learned that the Savior truly is our companion at all times. I have felt Him be my
This week has been great. Our branch is going to miss the sisters! They have become quite attached to us as we have worked hard with them these past couple weeks. We have had success in our member present lessons this week. Many of our members wanted to come out and many lessons were taught. It was so cool to see the members interact and to see the difference that they truly make.
I think one of the best lessons that we had this week was with our part member family, the Villas. They are less active and have a 10 year old son, Yeray who really wants to be baptized. I have worked with him for the two transfers I have been here. I would have loved to see him baptized, but I feel like that will come next transfer. We taught them about the plan of salvation and focused on how they are a team and will always be a team. They want to make it to the temple. The parents made goals to make it there and made a goal for Yeray to be baptized soon, when Hno Villa is active again. I love this family. The Spirit is working on their hearts. It has been so cool to see them change.
Hermana Clark is amazing. I have loved being with her this transfer. We have learned so much from one another. She is going to be a great trainer. She has so much faith and such a desire to do good. I am grateful that I again had the chance to learn from her.
My testimony has grown this week. It always does if I am doing what I am supposed to be doing! I have seen so much love this week. The love that I have seen has reflected that of my Savior. My testimony has been strengthened in the aspect of listening, really listening and how important that is. When you listen with love, the Spirit really does let you know what to say. I love being a missionary. It is truly the biggest blessing in my life! I am so grateful that I get to go out and be an instrument in my Saviors hands!
Much Love,
Hermana Shepherd
