I have no words! AH! I love Santa Paula so much! This transfer is going to be awesome. Hermana Brown is awesome. Our investigators are awesome. Missionary work is awesome. I'm awesome. Haha KIDDING!
So this week I realized more than any other week how much I love our investigators. And not just those who are investigators, but all of the people I work with as a missionary. We pray for them. We fast for them. We do everything we can for them. We give our whole souls to them. Because we love them so much.
This week I have realized that I truly want these people to receive the blessings that God has for them. I have
My daddio sent me this quote this week: "The journey to Christ is a journey that has the potential to take you beyond yourself. No matter where we are on our journey, the process will require us to let go of who we are to become who the Lord knows we can be."
Sometimes this is hard. Like really hard. We have to let go of the past. Memories, friends, places. We have to let go of the future. Dreams, plans, goals. We have to let go of who we are. For reals?? That's hard!
And that's what we ask people to do. Every. Day.
I am so grateful to know that this gospel fills the gaps that "letting go" leaves. It not only fills those gaps, it makes them overflow with blessings. We have new dreams and goals. We make new memories. We become more like what God desires.
It's hard to know that, and watch people reject the opportunities we give them. But we never give up. We pray and fast and pray some more. And we love them to the end. Oh man. It's hard, but it's amazing.
1 Thessalonians 2:20 "For ye are our glory and joy."
Have a good week!
